Instagram asked three artists across the world to share their perspective on how people are connecting and supporting each other around the world, despite the circumstances and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I was one of the three artists asked to visualise a response to this brief.
A note on the artwork: As we grapple to come to terms with the uncertainty that lays ahead of us, it becomes more essential than ever, to plant little buds of kindness along the way. It’s okay that we’re not okay right now. We can still find ways to hold space for each other and ourselves. We’re collectively grieving and that’s scary, but let’s try and bring tenderness to our conversations and actions. So many of us are at our most vulnerable right now; can we show up for each other, and ourselves, one breath at a time?
