Illustrating the Environmental Justice Thematic for Women's Fund Asia

Illustration

The brief was to create visual material for Women’s Fund Asia’s (WFA) Environmental Justice thematic meeting in Chilaw. The objective was to highlight WFA’s focus on supporting the leadership of women and trans* people in the decision making process of policies governing access to distribution of land, water, food and other natural resources.

Through the use of posters and stickers, the idea was to communicate the critical environmental issues that some of the most vulnerable communities across South and South East Asia are facing. The illustrations were a means to represent these communities as well as the way they are affected by migration, ineffective labour rights, mining, contamination of water and lack of sanitation, among other issues.
