16 to 365 Days of Activism to End GBV

The 2024 campaign ‘From 16 to 365 Days of Activism to End GBV’, was co created by the CUNY SPH Sexual and Reproductive Justice Hub Team, an advisory council and a group of artists. Helmed by Terry McGovern, Clarisa Bencomo and Oriana Lopez Uribe, the campaign amplified the efforts of feminist grassroots groups to resist the impacts of gender based violence through the establishment of bodily autonomy as a fundamental human right.

The campaign created materials to spotlight various challenges, gaps and structural roots of inequalities in various spaces through the use of visual advocacy materials and messaging. I worked with the team to reimagine bodily autonomy and move away from visuals grounded in gender binaries and violence, towards images that highlight the beauty and power of people experiencing joy in their bodies, supporting each other, experiencing love and community, and reclaiming power, and agency in their bodies. I created illustrations that could be adapted for various backgrounds and campaign messaging and imagery by organisations using the media kit.
