Socio-Political Advocacy for Community Networks Engagement (SPACE) is a capacity and movement building mentorship programme led by the Local Networks initiative, which is jointly implemented by APC and Rhizomatica. The aim of the mentorship programme is to support women, gender-diverse, queer and trans individuals to take on leadership roles in community networks advocacy.
I attended and graphic recorded the participant-led sessions at the end of the programme which were not only spaces for celebration of the journey so far, but also spaces for reflecting and strategising. Participants worked in affinity groups of their choice to create an advocacy strategy for gender and language, spectrum advocacy, and USF and regulation.
