LOCNET Peers Convening 2020
“Connecting the Unconnected: Supporting community networks and other community-based connectivity initiatives” is a project being implemented by APC in partnership with Rhizomatica that aims to directly support the development of community networks. The aim of the two-phase project is to contribute to an enabling ecosystem for the emergence and growth of community networks and other community-based connectivity initiatives in developing countries.
The 2020 LOCNET Peers Convening happened remotely due to COVID-19. Discussions and presentations happened across three platforms where peers had a chance to welcome new community networks, learn from each other’s ideas and experiences and gear up to launch Phase II of the Community Network Learning Grant.
I graphic recorded the entire convening to create a visual map of the various conversations for the LOCNET team and peers to refer to and reflect on. I also worked on illustrating theme based graphic records to synthesise information that was shared across days and regions into visual documents.
