Examining the Workings of Race and Gender in the UN Human Rights System

The Sexual Rights Initiative (SRI) and the International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism (IMADR) organised a webinar to examine the workings of race and gender in the UN human rights system. Through the webinar, speakers Pooja Badarinath, Dominique Day, Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng and Prof. Verene A. Shepherd moderated by Dipika Nath, addressed the ways race is obscured from discussions around gender.

I created a graphic record mapping the course of the discussion to reflect the various recommendations to dismantle systemic racism and sexism in UN spaces, that came up.
